TONY LAW - A Law Undo His-elf What Welcome (COMEDY)
Law welcome to journey with me, earth bones funny at personal best. Jump towards. Three-time Chortle Award winner, Amused Moose Best Show winner and Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee.
"One of stand-up’s premier goons, heroically committed to nonsense, knight errant of the dizzy non-sequitur" - Guardian
"I can’t recommend this show highly enough. Tremendous comedy. Really great" - Tony Law
GEORGIE MORRELL - A Poke in the Eye (COMEDY)
Do your other senses get stronger? Is it wrong to fancy your doctor? Will I get a new eye that shoots lasers? Just some of the questions our heroine answers whilst telling us how she went blind but now she can see... literally! Recounting stories of doctors, sexual fantasies and binge drinking (sometimes all at once). We hear what it is to face inevitable blindness with her own brand of humour. Being disabled is her excuse to do exactly what she wants, say what she wants and live her one-eyed life as she wants.
One woman, one eye and her sort-of-blind life!
DANIELLE WARD - Seventeen (COMEDY)
Being a teenager in the 90s was hard (is your favourite band Blur, Oasis or Throbbing Gristle?), but now there's a whole new set of things to worry about. What is the correct amount of pubic hair? Can feminists enjoy twerking? Why is fruit suddenly bad for you? Let the host of hit podcast Do the Right Thing guide you through this difficult time with stand-up, songs and one explicit mime.
"Ward really shines... an adept musician as well as a talented comic" - ThreeWeeks, "Graphic and funny" ★★★★ - Fest
HAPPINESS IS A CUP OF TEA by Annie McKenzie (THEATRE)
During a stormy night on the cliff top at Beachyhead, Fiona Nash is faced with her own mortality. Her sister has some news, and Fiona’s been asked to write a eulogy - she didn’t even know her Mother was ill. Now she’s just trying to figure out things in that head of hers. She should probably go home, but sometimes it’s best just to have a cup of tea and a sit down for a minute. Storytelling, puppetry, ukelele and grief all collide in this show about family, being the youngest, and losing the ones we love.
"A brilliant night at the theatre, the best" ★★★★ - London Theatre 1, ★★★★ - Female Arts
AHIR SHAH - Machines (COMEDY)
Philosophical stand-up Ahir Shah combines questing polemic with hella sweet gags in Machines: an hour of comedy about democracy, technology, internationalism, terrorism, history, modernity, utopia and lizards. It's both funny and good. Shah's last show, Distant, was performed to critical and popular acclaim at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe, and subsequently toured around the UK, Paris and Australia. He is very rarely on television or radio, which is a shame really.
"Passionate, poetic, powerfully funny" ★★★★ - List, "Excellent" ★★★★ Guardian
TOM NEENAN - Vaudeville (COMEDY/STORYTELLING)
Backstage at the Vaudeville Theatre hear dark and hilarious tales of magic, malevolence and misfortune in this one-man portmanteau horror comedy from master storyteller, comedian and writer Tom Neenan.
"Very funny… Neenan inhabits the rogues’ gallery of characters with great panache" ★★★★ - Telegraph
"Sustained and consistent brilliance" - Guardian, "Hilariously chilling" ★★★★ - Metro
